Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Erica: Love enthusiast, wedding planner extraordinaire. I can’t imagine living anywhere but Colorado (well maybe in the mountains of Colorado), I have two dogs who are my world (Sadie & Murphy), I majored in Political Science and History in college (I’m proud to be a CSU Ram!), I can’t live without Thai, Asian or sushi at least once a week, I’m a creature of routine, and Sundays – football rules! Go Broncos. I’m also not perfect, but I work toward being the best I can be. Every day.
To sum up me, myself, and I: I’m an original, innovative, and detail-oriented. I love a challenge, I expect the unexpected, and work to exceed any expectation. I thrive on carrying myself with the old fashion values of trust and follow through (if you can’t stand by your word, what can you stand by?), but am inspired by modern influences (I’m on the front line of doing different people, a bit of a renegade) to ensure no event is the same.
I believe in being you, doing everything for yourself, and not for anyone else. I don’t believe in doing things because they’re the status quo, or because that is what has happened before. Who defines what makes a wedding a wedding? I cherish what weddings really stand for: the beginning of a marriage, a life of shared happiness, successes, failures, families, memories, partnership and above all …. UNDYING LOVE. Don’t get me wrong… I love the details, but they aren’t what weddings are all about.
Did I ever anticipate being a wedding and event planner? No. Well, maybe subconsciously. Planning parties, events, soirees, shin-digs…whatever… was always a part of who I was. It wasn’t until the preverbal fork in the road that I decided to take on my dream. Fast forward 3 years later, and here I am running my second company Colorado Occasions. Doing what I love.
